About Elena
Elena Scalcon is a contract lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Surgery and a research grant holder in the Department of Law, Politics and International Studies at the University of Parma, where she works in constitutional and public law. Her research sits at the intersection of bioethics and health law, covering embryo and organ donation, xenotransplantation, end-of-life decision-making, digital health, and the cybersecurity of medical devices. She teaches Elements of Bioethics in the Midwifery programme and Law and Disability in the Social Work programme.
