Abstract

AI is a question of power, also from the perspective of the rule of law. The talk addresses current legal challenges posed by AI and outlines possible regulatory responses in the field of digital regulation.

About Hannah

Hannah Ruschemeier is Professor of Public Law and the Law of Digitalisation at the Institute of Public, Administrative and Commercial Law at Osnabrück University. Her research combines traditional questions of public law with the challenges posed by digital transformation. She is a member of Die Junge Akademie and co-spokesperson of its working group on Artificial Intelligence. She is also an associated researcher at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS NRW) and the research focus digital_kultur, a board member of the Robotics and AI Law Society, and co-editor of the journal Legal Tech. In various interdisciplinary projects, she works on epistemic and ethical aspects of AI, automation bias, and regulatory sandboxes in the context of the EU AI Act.
